our story

Trinity as a church plant

In 1998, a group of 22 like-minded people from the Vineyard Church in Sugar Land felt called by God to plant a church in the Cypress, TX, area. They stepped out in faith to see what God had in mind.

In September of 2004, Trinity Vineyard gathered on a Sunday evening for the first public service in a rented dance studio in the Fairfield subdivision. Forty people joined in and Trinity Vineyard Church

was born.

We then moved to a warehouse at Cypress North Houston and Knigge Cemetery Road. A truckload of wood, some drywall, and many volunteer hours allowed the church to grow in that space for seven years.

In 2012, we went portable and met at Arnold Middle School for two years. It was a lot of work, but it allowed more of our resources to be poured into loving our community and our world. Those efforts included our Trinity Party Squad and the infamous Party Bug trailer, complete with bounce house, tables, chairs, and coolers, offered free to anyone in the Cypress area who wanted to throw a party for their friends and neighbors.

Finally, Trinity moved into our current space at Skinner and Spring Cypress in 2014.
