GET TO KNOW

Trinity

Hi!

We are so glad you've come to find out more about us!

Trinity Vineyard's mission is to consistently engage, transform and serve those who are here, near and far. We do this through authentic relationships with Jesus and with each other so that others around us are impacted by the redeeming message of the Gospel. This extends to our international partnerships with two Vineyard churches

that were planted out of Trinity.

If you have any questions as you continue to scroll down and learn more, please contact us at info@TrinityVineyardChurch.com or call us at (281) 897-8463.

our story

Trinity: a church plant

In 1998, a group of 22 like-minded people from The Vineyard Church in Sugar Land felt called by God to plant a church in the Cypress, TX, area. They stepped out in faith to see what God had in mind.

In September of 2004, Trinity Vineyard gathered on a Sunday evening for the first public service in a rented dance studio in the Fairfield subdivision. Forty people joined in and Trinity Vineyard Church

was born.

Trinity: a growing church

We then moved to a warehouse at Cypress North Houston and Knigge Cemetery Road. A truckload of wood, some drywall, and many volunteer hours allowed the church to grow in that space for seven years.

In 2012, we went portable and met at Arnold Middle School for two years. It was a lot of work, but it allowed more of our resources to be poured into loving our community and our world. Those efforts included our Trinity Party Squad and the infamous Party Bug trailer, complete with bounce house, tables, chairs, and coolers, offered free to anyone in the Cypress area who wanted to throw a party for their friends and neighbors.

Finally, Trinity moved into our current space at Skinner and Spring Cypress in 2014.

Our values & beliefs

We are part of the Vineyard Association of Churches, which includes 500 churches in the US and more than 2000 churches all over the world. Find out more about Vineyard's values and beliefs here. You can also visit the Vineyard USA's website to find out more about the movement as a whole.

Each Vineyard church is unique to its specific context, but operates through the lens of the values below as we minister among diverse populations and in unique environments. Trinity Vineyard embraces these values as we serve to engage, transform and serve those here, near and far.

Partner With the Holy Spirit

We believe that God eagerly desires us to experience His presence, and then to partner with Him in His work of showing His love to the world. We believe that the Holy Spirit distributes gifts among us, enabling us to encounter God’s presence personally and corporately, and then to minister to the world around us in the power of the Spirit.

Experience and Worship God

We believe the primary place where an intimate relationship with God is nurtured and developed is in the act of worship - both private and corporate. As we worship, we become increasingly sensitive and responsive to the Spirit’s presence so that we can do as Jesus did: “See what the Father is doing,” (John 5:19) and support His work with our lives.

Reconcile People and All Creation

We seek to be diverse communities of hope that realize the power of the cross to reconcile what has been separated by sin.

Engage in Compassionate Ministry

We believe that ministry in Jesus’ name should be expressed in concrete ways through the local church.

Pursue Culturally Relevant Mission in the World

We are called to bring the Gospel of the Kingdom to every nook and cranny of creation, faithfully translating the message of Jesus into language and forms that are relevant to diverse peoples and cultures.

VINEYARD BELIEFS

what to expect on a sunday

Sunday mornings at Trinity are pretty relaxed. You will find a warm welcome as you enter the front doors. We dress casually. Service begins at 10:00 AM and lasts until 11:15 AM. Please feel free to arrive early and enjoy a cup of coffee!

We also offer our services online on our Youtube page and Facebook page.

PARKING

We have two parking lots, with entrances located off of both Spring Cypress and Skinner.

MAIN ENTRANCE

Our main entrance faces Spring Cypress. You will be greeted by our Hospitality Team and find coffee and water in the main foyer. Please help yourself!

KIDS

Kids from 3 months through 5th grade can remain with you, or join in a class designed especially for them 10 minutes before service starts. The kids' wing is located on the other side of the breezeway. A greeter will be there to help check your child in and get any pertinent information. We also have an area set aside for nursing moms just off the main entrance foyer. There is a TV that projects the service so you won't miss a thing!

Junior Highers are dismissed after worship time to their class. Senior High remains in the service on Sunday mornings, but have a Youth Group meeting most Sunday nights.

THE SERVICE

Our service begins at 10:00 with a welcome and worship time. Please feel free to sit wherever you feel comfortable! We have a contemporary worship style that lasts for 25-30 minutes. Many talented people serve on our worship teams, and they rotate in and out, giving us a fresh expression of worship each week.

Communion is served on second Sundays during worship to all who wish to participate. We typically either pass the elements and take them together as a church body, or have our Communion Teams serve it around the room. Participants are free to take communion when they are ready.

After announcements, we transition into an important time devoted to experiencing a Bible-centered message. Our teaching team shares about a wide range of topics that will help you grow to become more like Jesus. These messages are practical and relevant to what we are experiencing today.

We set aside time at the end of each service to receive prayer for those who wish to respond. Everyone experiences times when we need God's wisdom, encouragement and presence. This is a great time to ask for prayer from our trained prayer teams and invite God into your circumstances.
